Directions

 

GPS users: Most GPS systems do not recognize Joy-El Drive. Please use 6700 Valley Camp Road, Greencastle, PA 17225 in your GPS system. This address will bring you right to the entrance of our facility. (Note: This address should not be used for mailing purposes.)

 

From North and West ( Ft. Loudon area) take RT 30 East to Gillan Orchard Rd.  Turn right onto Gillan Orchard which crosses Rt 416 and becomes Brandt’s Church Rd. to the stop sign, cross over and the road becomes Valley Camp Road.  Proceed approximately 2 miles to the camp entrance on your left.

 

From the South Take I-70 to I-81 North into PA. Get off I-81 at Pennysylvania Exit 5 (Route 16). At the off-ramp, turn left onto Route 16 West and drive through downtown Greencastle. At the intersection of Route 16 and Route 11 (Sheetz will be on your right), make a right onto Route 11 North. After approximately 1 block, turn left onto Williamson Road (the turn is between Sunnyway Diner and Rite Aid). Continue on Williamson Road for approximately 6 miles. At the second stop sign, Williamson Road ends. Turn right onto Route 995, Warm Spring Road. After 1½ miles, turn left onto Valley Camp Road. Ahead 1 mile is the entrance to Camp Joy El on the right.

 

From St. Thomas take St Thomas/Williamson Rd south from square (opposite Uni-Mart) to Rt 995 – Warm Springs Rd. turn right on 995 go one mile to Valley Camp Road, turn right onto Valley Camp Road, go one mile to camp entrance on your right

 

From Greencastle take Williamson Rd., left off of Route 11 by Sunnyway Diner/Grocery store plaza – follow five miles into Williamson and Rt 995.  Turn right, go north on 995 for one mile. Turn left onto Valley Camp Road, go one mile to camp entrance on your right

 

From Chambersburg take Rt 30 West to light at top of hill west of town.(Exxon station is on your left) Turn left onto Rt 995 – Warm Springs Road.  Go nine miles on Rt 995 to Valley Camp Rd.  Turn right onto Valley Camp Rd.  Go one mile to camp entrance on your right.

 

From Mercersburg take Rt 416, Ft Loudon Rd. north – At the schools, bear to the right where the road forks. DO NOT go left to Ft. Loudon!  Follow Rt 416 for about 3 miles to Brandt’s Church Rd.  Turn right onto Brandt’s Church Road.  At stop sign, cross over onto Valley Camp Road and go 2 miles to camp entrance on your left.
